The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that on the sidelines of the two-day summit that began today in the Ethiopian capital Mrkic had bilateral meetings with the presidents of Zambia and Zimbabwe, as well as foreign ministers of Kenya, Ghana, Algeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Angola, Ivory Coast and Senegal.
Mrkic spoke yesterday with foreign ministers of Somalia and Libya on cooperation in the fields of education, agriculture and security measures.
During these meetings, the officials pointed to the traditionally good relations of Serbia with these African countries.
They also discussed concrete economic cooperation.
Mrkic will tomorrow have a meeting with Deputy Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union Erastus Mwencha to discuss the draft agreement on cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the African Union, the statement added.
