The Serbian European Integration Office (SEIO) stated today that it conducted a poll "European orientation of Serbia's citizens –trends" in December 2013.
If a referendum were to be held tomorrow with the question "Do you support Serbia's accession to the EU?", 51% of Serbia’s citizens would vote yes, the Office said.
The survey shows that 22% would be against, 20% would not vote, while 7% do not know what they would answer.
The level of support is due to the beginning of EU negotiation process.
The poll showed that there are 68% of those in favour of reforms, while 39% said fight against corruption is the most important reform.
