The explanatory screening marks the initial phase of the negotiations on the accession of Serbia to the EU, i.e., it is an analytical review and assessment of compliance of Serbian regulations with acquis.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy is in charge of this chapter.
President of the Negotiating subgroup is State Secretary of the Ministry Zoran Martinovic, and his deputy is Assistant Minister Zoran Milosevic.
Representatives of the European Commission will present at tomorrow's meeting the European legislation which is relevant to this chapter.
That includes directives governing free access to the labour market, as well as the rules governing the coordination of social security and health care for the population.
Information provided in the explanatory screening meeting will be used as the basis for the preparation of the Serbian delegation for bilateral screening for this chapter.
The Serbian legislation in this area will be presented to the EU experts, and representatives of the European Commission will be shown plans of how to harmonise the Serbian legislation with acquis.
