“Guide book for negotiations between Serbia, EU” published

The Serbian government’s European Integration Office stated today that it posted on its website a new electronic course “Guide book for negotiations between Serbia and the EU” with the aim to boost administrative capacity for the negotiating process.
According to the statement, the course is part of a training programme created and implemented by the Office, which is intended for civil servants who are directly involved in the negotiations, as well as for other interested citizens who have the ability to check and improve their knowledge of the negotiating process in this way.
Through this course, the general public will have the opportunity to become familiar with the subject matter, principles, stages and dynamics of the negotiations, actors in the negotiations, contents of the negotiation chapters, the requirements for membership, and will also get an answer to the question of what EU membership brings.
After getting the date for the start of negotiations with the EU, a well prepared administration and properly informed public will be a significant factor in Serbia’s success in the conduct of the negotiations, the statement says.
Through this course, the general public will have the opportunity to become familiar with the subject matter, principles, stages and dynamics of the negotiations, actors in the negotiations, contents of the negotiation chapters, the requirements for membership, and will also get an answer to the question of what EU membership brings.
After getting the date for the start of negotiations with the EU, a well prepared administration and properly informed public will be a significant factor in Serbia’s success in the conduct of the negotiations, the statement says.
