The government adopted a bill on higher education and sent it to the parliament for adoption. It also adopted a bill on the Serbian Agency for Export Insurance and Financing, a bill on a day of mourning in Serbia, a bill on tobacco, a bill on accounting and auditing, a bill on deposit insurance, a bill on bankruptcy and liquidation of banks and a bill on insurance companies.
Also adopted were a bill on changes and amendments to the Law on banks and other financial organisations, a bill on changes and amendments to the Law on insurance and a bill on changes and amendments to the Law on excise.
The government adopted a bill on changes and amendments to the Law on mandatory social insurance payments and a bill on changes and amendments to the Law on road transport.
The government passed a Decree on changes and amendments to the Decree on coefficients for salaries in public services and a Decree on norms and standards of working conditions at universities and faculties for activities financed from the budget.
These changes increase the coefficient for salaries of primary, secondary, higher and university education and social protection aimed at improving their material position, in accordance with protocols signed with labour unions.
Decrees were also adopted on premiums for growing of commercial sunflower, soybeans, as well as leaf tobacco for 2005.
The government decided to offer guarantees to The Hague Tribunal for Drago Nikolic to be released pending trial.
The government approved the use of monies from the Fund for Kosovo-Metohija budget, according to which the Fund’s Gracanica office has 5.12 million dinars at its disposal for the purchase and distribution of agricultural products.
