Mrkic thanks EU ministers on assistance, support

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic sent a letter to EU foreign ministers in which he expressed gratitude for their cooperation and support to Serbia concerning the initiation of EU accession talks on 21 January.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Mrkic underscored that recommendations of EU ministers and the decision of the Council of the EU are a confirmation that the results achieved so far through reforms are appreciated, adding that the reform process will continue to the best interests of all Serbian citizens.
Serbia is ready for the talks and it will invest all its energy to fully incorporate EU values into its society and become a partner of the EU, the Minister said.
