Accountability for omissions in Vrsacki Vinogradi privatisation to be determined

The Serbian government accepted at its session today a package of measures for credit support to the corporation Autosaobracaj from Kragujevac in restructuring, which will create conditions for solving the crisis in this company.
The government instructed Autosaobracaj to submit all company data, evaluation of assets and a proposal of the social welfare programme to the Ministry of Economy by 10 December.
The government is familiar with the Report on the inspection of work of the Privatisation Agency in the case of sale of the winery Vrsacki Vinogradi joint-stock company in restructuring, made on the basis of a public invitation published on 8 July for participation in a public bid for the purchase of a part of movable and immovable property of that company.
The Report points out that violations of the Law on privatisation and the Decree on the procedure of restructuring of the subject of privatisation were committed.
The government instructed the Ministry of Economy and the Privatisation Agency to remove the irregularities established, annul all acts and practices, prevent a possible damage and launch the procedure for determining accountability.
The Bill on export and import of arms and military equipment was adopted, which is harmonised with new rules and procedures of the EU, international conventions and agreements and it is expected to ensure a tighter control in this area.
Also, the government adopted the Bill on ratification of acts of the Universal Postal Union.
