Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica received today a delegation of the Slovenian parliament, headed by its president Franc Cukjati.
Kostunica pointed to the difficult position of Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo-Metohija whose basic human rights are endangered, and assessed that the solution to the problem in the province must be found through a compromise.
The Serbian Prime Minister stressed that it was above all necessary to secure the respect of basic human rights for the Serb and other non-Albanian communities in Kosovo-Metohija.
Kostunica underlined that the government was committed to European integrations and said that he expected a positive assessment of the Feasibility Study for Serbia-Montenegro shortly.
President of the Slovenian Parliament Cukjati agreed that the basic human rights of Serbs and other non-Albanians are endangered in Kosovo-Metohija and pledged full respect of human rights in Kosovo-Metohija.
The delegation of the Slovenian Parliament stated that with a positive Feasibility Study, the European perspective of Serbia and the State Union of Serbia-Montenegro would be clearly shown.
It was also agreed that the relations of the two countries were exceptionally good, and readiness for their further improvement was expressed.
