Minister of Health Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic will be on a two-day visit to Ireland on 27-28 November, where she will meet with Irish Minister of Justice, Equality and Defence with responsibility for Disability, Older People and Mental Health Kathleen Lynch.
A statement by the Ministry of Health reads that as part of her visit to Ireland, Djukic-Dejanovic will meet with representatives of the Commission for Mental Health, the Inspection Service for Mental Care Institutions and the Mental Health Tribunal and will also visit the Central Mental Hospital in Dublin.
The visit of the Minister of Health has been organised as part of the implementation of the Law on protection of persons with mental disabilities, in view of the fact that Ireland has made significant achievements in this field and devised the best model for implementation of the law, it is added in the statement.
