During the talks with Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic, Drago Nikolic decided to turn himself in to The Hague Tribunal in order to help his people, state and family. Nikolic said that he wants to fulfil his duty and relieve the state of that burden and that he cannot allow that the state be held hostage because of him.

The Serbian government respects the decision of Drago Nikolic to surrender himself to The Hague Tribunal, considers it to be highly moral and thinks that in this way Nikolic showed that he is ready to put the interests of the state and the people beyond his own.
The Serbian government will provide all necessary guarantees for pre-trial release of Drago Nikolic and assistance to his family.
Drago Nikolic will travel to The Hague on March 17 in the company of Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar.
