The Ministry of Energy, Development and the Environmental Protection stated that Mihajlovic stressed the importance of the project of building a double 400 kV transmission line between Resica and Pancevo, adding that the transmission line will enable the achievement of objectives in the energy sector at the regional level.
Speaking on the projects on Djerdap hydro plant, Mihajlovic said that the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection sent a book of priority projects to the Romanian side and announced talks regarding the construction of Djerdap 3, which is a project of national importance for Serbia.
The ministers also discussed the gas interconnection Mokrin-Arad , as well as the pipeline Pitesti-Pancevo, which will provide diversification and security of supply of refineries in Serbia.
The officials concluded that the current economic cooperation between Serbia and Romania is excellent.
Trade between the two countries in 2012 amounted to €1.4 billion , while exports from Serbia to Romania reached €700 million.
Meetings to be held in the future will, in addition to energy ministers of Serbia and Romania, include representatives of public companies in order to concretise the next steps in the implementation of joint projects between the two countries, the statement added.
