Improvement of military economic cooperation of Serbia, Brazil

Belgrade, 25 October 2013

Minister of Defence Nebojsa Rodic and outgoing Brazilian Ambassador to Serbia Alexandre Addor Neto discussed today the promotion of the military-economic cooperation.

A statement by the Ministry of Defence says that the meeting looked at the possibility of establishing a mixed commission of Serbia and Brazil for military-economic cooperation as an effective instrument for the promotion of cooperation in this field.

Ambassador Neto leaves this duty at the end of October and Minister Rodic thanked him for his work and efforts made in promoting bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the field of defence.

Rodic thanked the Ambassador of Brazil on the principled stance of Brazil and its support to Serbia regarding Kosovo-Metohija.

In 2010 Serbia and Brazil concluded the Agreement on cooperation in the field of defence, and focal areas of cooperation are military economic, military technical, military medical and military education cooperation, it is added in the statement.
