Deputy Minister of Justice and Public Administration for European integration and Head of the Negotiating Team for Chapter 23 Cedomir Backovic met today with the head of the Croatian negotiating team for Chapters 23 and 24 Kristian Simonovic and GIZ Project leader for Legal Reform project in Serbia Mike Falke.
The talks focused on the needs and capacities of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration for the negotiations on Chapters 23 and 24.
Backovic expressed gratitude to colleagues from Croatia and Germany on assistance to Serbia in the EU negotiation process.
He expressed the belief that Serbia will make the best use of experience of Croatia in the accession process.
Turkalj expressed satisfaction that he has the opportunity to assist the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration in achieving the best possible organisational, institutional and administrative capacities for Chapters 23 and 24.
Falke said that the experience of Croatia, which has successfully completed the negotiation process, will be of great importance to Serbia in the process of further European integration, according to a statement from the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration.
