Talks with EU experts on fight against terrorism, exchange of information

A delegation of the Ministry of the Interior led by State Secretary Vanja Vukic, who is Chief of the Negotiating group for Chapter 24 which covers justice, freedom and security, is attending the explanatory screening in Brussels.
The second day of the explanatory screening started with the examination of specific issues related to mutual cooperation and exchange of information among financial intelligence units, whose purpose is to ensure a more efficient detection and suppression of money laundering and terrorism financing.
The next topic will be the fight against terrorism, where EU experts will present the EU acquis communautaire.
Interior Ministry experts made a series of questions regarding the incorporation of specific EU standards into Serbia’s legal system.
Additional questions were made by experts of the Ministry of the Interior who follow this event via a video link and are in a constant communication with participants in the explanatory screening.
The Republic of Serbia has so far implemented a large part of global standards in this field, and now it has to work on the implementation of specific elements related to the EU, reads a statement by the Ministry of the Interior.
