Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Evangelos Venizelos spoke yesterday in New York on the situation in the Western Balkans.
On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting, the two officials discussed the progress in the talks between Belgrade and Pristina and preparations for the local elections in Kosovo.
Venizelos stressed that Greece is a strong advocate of the Western Balkans’ Euro-Atlantic integration.
Mrkic and Venizelos also discussed other regional issues of common interest.
