As a representative of one of the six selected countries out of 53 member states, she will speak about the achievements of Serbia in the field of health care in the first year of implementation of a new European policy for health and well-being called "Health 2020", which emphasises the importance of the involvement of the entire government and society in addressing the challenges that are placed on the health system, as well as in the management of the policy "Health in all policies".
In order to develop and improve the cross-departmental approach to health, the Serbian government adopted the initiative of the Ministry of Health and in late December 2012 decided to establish a body for coordination of the European health policy based on the concept of "Health in all policies".
The Serbian Minister of Health, as co-chairperson of the Committee of Ministers of Health and Environment of the WHO, will open the session "Health and Environment" at the 63rd Annual Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe and will present the achievements of Serbia in this field.
On the sidelines of the session, Djukic-Dejanovic will meet with Minister of Health of Turkey Mehmet Muezzinoglu, reads a statement by the Ministry of Health.
