Milosavljevic noted that this room, which will have the most modern equipment, is the first of four such facilities to be opened in Serbia.
It will enable diagnosis of even the most complex interventions on blood vessels and belongs to the latest “flat” technology, which emits minimal radiation on patients as well as staff.
Its valued at €750.000, with the funds provided from the budget of the Republic of Serbia.
The Minister of Health said that the Nis Clinical Centre should receive a magnetic resonance machine by the end of the year, while a new radiotherapy ward should be opened in April.
He announced that by June, negotiations should be concluded with the European Investment Bank for approving a very favourable loan of €150 million. These funds should help complete a very important phase in adequately equipping clinical centres in Serbia.
