The European Integration Office announced today that the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) with Serbia enters into force on 1 September, after the European Union 24 July informed Serbia that it had completed the process of ratification.
Bodies that will monitor the implementation of SAA will be formed, comprising representatives from both Serbia and the EU – the Stabilisation and Association Council, the Stabilisation and Association Committee and the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee.
On the day of the entry into force of the SAA, the Interim Trade Agreement that was in force starting 1 Januar 2009 will be terminated.
