Government adopts Bill amending Law on Ministries

Belgrade, 25 Aug 2013 –The Serbian government adopted today the Bill amending the Law on Ministries, under which it will comprise 18 ministries.

Under this proposal, the government of Serbia will include the following ministries: Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Regional Development and Local Self-Government, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Construction and Urban Planning, Ministry of Justice and Public Administration, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection, Ministry of Culture and Media, Ministry of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Youth and Sport and Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications.

The government sent the Bill to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for urgent consideration.

The government at its session today also adopted the Action Plan for the Implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy until 2018.

At its meeting today, the government of Serbia relieved Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Chicago from duty.
