Recommendation to citizens of Serbia not to travel to Egypt still in force

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated today that Serbian tourists in Egypt are not in danger, but the recommendation to citizens of Serbia not to go on summer holiday to that country is still in force.

A statement by the Ministry says that the recent events in Egypt have not affected our tourists, and it adds that the Serbian Embassy in Cairo is in contact with guides of the Serbian tourist agencies and that so far no one turned to it for help.
The Serbian tourists who are already in Egypt are advised not to go to mass gatherings, even to those that seem peaceful, and to avoid trips and excursions to big cities, such as Cairo and Alexandria.
The decision on a possible evacuation of Serbian citizens is brought by the Serbian government, on the basis of an evaluation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is said in the statement and added that the staff of the Serbian Embassy follows the developments in Egypt and regularly informs the ministry about everything that happens.
