Government reaches Conclusion on guarantees to the Hague Tribunal for Mico Stanisic

Belgrade, 10 March 2005

At today’s session the Serbian government reached a Conclusion about giving guarantees to the Hague Tribunal for Mico Stanisic, in order to secure a pre-trial release for the defendant.

An Information was adopted on restructuring companies from the Serbian Defense Industry Group which consists of: Sloboda from Cacak, Prvi Partizan from Uzice, Krusik from Valjevo, Milan Blagojevic from Lucani, Zastava Oruzje from Kragujevac and Prva Iskra from Baric.

The government also adopted an Information about the restructuring program of the company IPM Zmaj a.d. from Zemnu, as well as an Information about the start of production of ammonia and local mineral fertilizer in the HIP Azotara from Pancevo.

An Information was adopted about the need to agree on an Action Plan for harmonising the laws of the Republic of Serbia with EU regulations for the year 2005, as well as an Information about concluding a memorandum on cooperation in the area of European integration between the Serbian Government and the Hungarian Foreign Ministry.

A Decision was adopted at the session about changes and amendments to the Decision on the amount of necessary duties levied on the import on agricultural and food products.

Minister of Interior Dragan Jocic was appointed president of the Council for the Fight Against People Trafficking, while ministers Slobodan Vuksanovic, Slobodan Lalovic, Tomica Milosavljevic, Zoran Stojkovic and Assistant Minister of Finance Lidija Smiljanic were appointed as members of this Council.
