As part of the cooperation between the Serbian government and the Republika Srpska (RS) government in meeting obligations towards The Hague Tribunal, Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar and RS Minister of Interior Darko Matijasevic have talked to Mico Stanisic, who has been indicted by the tribunal and who has decided to go to The Hague voluntarily because it is the best way to help his own people.

Ministers Loncar and Matijasevic pointed out that the governments of Serbia and Republika Srpska highly appreciate Stanisic’s moral and patriotic decision, which is in the best interest of the State Union of Serbia-Montenegro and Republika Srpska.
The Serbian government has said it will offer guarantees for Stanisic’s release pending trial and provide all necessary assistance to his family.
Stanisic will travel to The Hague on Friday, March 11, accompanied by ministers Loncar and Matijasevic.
