Kostunica calls for preservation of stability in Kosovo-Metohija

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica has said that following confirmation of The Hague Tribunal’s indictment against Ramush Haradinaj and his subsequent resignation from the position of Kosovo-Metohija Prime Minister, it is of utmost importance that everyone acts constructively and help preserve stability in the province.

In a written statement, Kostunica said that the Serbian government will make all efforts to see that goal achieved, given that the stabilisation and improvement of the overall situation in Kosovo-Metohija is Serbia’s top priority.
Kostunica reiterated that this is the reason why the people of Kosovo-Metohija must show responsibility and work on preserving the current internal situation. He stressed that the Serbian government remains committed to peaceful means of resolving all problems in the province.
