The European Integration Office announced that preparing appropriate procedures, as well as future negotiations structure for negotiations on Serbia's membership in the European Union were discussed at a meeting of the Expert Group of the Coordinating Body for the EU accession of Serbia, which was held today Belgrade.
The meeting discussed ways of using previously established structures for the coordination of the accession process, and how to establish only those necessary ones to achieve the best results in the process.
Also the procedures that will be used during the screening of national legislation and evaluation of its compatibility with EU law - screening, as well as those in the preparation of negotiating positions.
The Expert Group of the Coordination Body, which is managed by Director of the Office for European Integration Milan Pajevic, and which includes heads of 35 working groups for negotiations, is the main body for horizontal coordination of the process of accession of the Republic of Serbia, the statement added.
