Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic spoke today with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Vesna Pusic about issues related to the joint future of the two countries and cooperation in certain areas after Croatia’s accession in the EU.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that European integration of Serbia was discussed during the meeting and Pusic stated that at the upcoming meetings in Luxembourg and Brussels, Croatia will support Serbia unambiguously.
Mrkic pointed to special importance of the visit of the Croatian Deputy Prime Minister with the aim of expressing support to Belgrade a few days before the important decisions and added that Serbia respects such a move very much.
The two officials also discussed outstanding issues between the two countries and the inherited problems which both countries resolve gradually, it is added in the statement.
