Continued involvement of KFOR in Kosovo-Metohija

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vucic presented today to Commander of the NATO Joint Forces in Naples Admiral Bruce Clingan the positions on the need for further involvement of KFOR to create a safe environment for all citizens in Kosovo-Metohija.

The Ministry of Defence stated that they analysed the area of responsibility of KFOR units, and it was agreed that the KFOR troops will be engaged in the execution of all tasks.
Vucic expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with the NATO command in Naples, and its improvement through the implementation of joint activities in the engagement of the Army of Serbia.
The Ministry of Defense appreciates professional assistance in training and controlling the level of preparedness of the units that are to join multinational peacekeeping missions.
Serbia continues to actively participate in the Partnership for Peace, reform the defence and security sectors, and continues building up the integrity of institutions by accepting programs of individual partnership and cooperation, the Minister said.
The capacities of the defence system are open for partners to our mutual interest, said the First Deputy Prime Minister.
Admiral Clingan confirmed excellent relations at all levels, especially with the General Staff and the Ministry of Defence.
