Police cut-off international drug smuggling route

The Serbian police have identified yet another drug smuggling channel on the south branch of the so-called “Balkan drug route” and they seized more than five kilograms of narcotics from foreign nationals.
This route is used to smuggle substantial quantities of illegal drugs from Kosovo-Metohija to Western Europe.
Members of the organised crime department at the Serbian Ministry of Interior (UBPOK) arrested three Croatian nationals, who had in their possession 5,090 grams of heroin, with a street value exceeding €100,000.
