President of the National Council for Cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Rasim Ljajic and ICTY Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz said today that the cooperation between Serbia and the ICTY Prosecutor's Office in the delivery of documents, access to archives of state authorities and witnesses takes place at a high level and that there are no outstanding issues.
Ljajic informed Brammertz on Serbia's request that all documentation that is delivered from Serbia in response to requests for assistance to the ICTY Prosecutor's Office, which has not been used in proceedings before the tribunal, be returned.
During the meeting they discussed specific procedures that are currently pending before the tribunal.
The National Council for Cooperation with the ICTY will continue in the future to take all necessary measures to ensure that cooperation in these areas further proceeds smoothly, according to a statement from the council.
