Cooperation with UNICEF in area of child protection

State Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy Brankica Jankovic presented today that members of the delegation of the Executive Board of UNICEF with the process of reform of the social and family-legal protection in Serbia, especially in the area of child protection.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy said that during the meeting, Chair of the UNICEF Executive Board Jarmo Viinanen praised the reform in the field of protection of children in Serbia and stressed that significant results have been achieved in reducing the number of children in children’s homes.
Viinanen expressed satisfaction with the existence of different forms of protection of children in Serbia, as well as the harmonisation of Serbian legislation in this area with international standards.
