Ugljanin and Yildiz spoke on the sidelines of the second session of the Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation between Serbia and Turkey on the possibilities for Turkish investments in the energy sector of Serbia.
At the meeting it was agreed that representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey attend the sessions of the Committee and personally get acquainted with the idea of cooperation in this field.
Ugljanin, who is also co-chairman of the Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation between Serbia and Turkey, said that Serbia has prepared a strategic framework and projects in the energy sector.
He invited Turkish investors to invest in Serbia and pointed out that Serbia could also use the Turkish experience and knowledge in the field of energy.
Yildiz has confirmed that Turkey is ready for this kind of cooperation, and promised that the Turkish government will direct private entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in Serbia.
He also accepted an invitation from Ugljanin to visit Serbia.
The meeting was also attended by a representative of the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Tatjana Jovanovic, reads a statement.
