The National Council for the Economic Recovery of Serbia said at today's meeting that the future of the Serbian economy depends on reindustrialisation, and that the development of industry based on the resources is a chance to increase exports and solve the problem of unemployment.
It was concluded that the measures taken by the government of Serbia prevented bankruptcy of the country.
A plan of speedy reindustrialisation of Serbian economy is necessary in order to revive the existing production capacities, especially in the energy sector, agriculture and the development of information technology.
The Council noted that lowering interest rates, a better promotion of Serbia as a favourable investment area and coordination of government measures with the real needs of the economy will lead to a faster way to revitalise the industry.
A team of experts was set up to prepare a programme of sustainable measures for speedy reindustrialisation of Serbian economy in a month’s time.
