Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic pay a visit to Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam from 20 February to 2 March.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Mrkic will meet with the leadership of these countries and will sign several bilateral cooperation agreements.
The visit will be an opportunity to strengthen political dialogue at high level on major international and regional issues, seek further support for the views and policies of our country, as well as to analyse specific opportunities for improving economic and other cooperation.
Bilateral agreements with host countries will further confirm the traditionally good relations with these countries and will strengthen the framework for improving cooperation.
Despite the global economic crisis, the region of Southeast Asia is developing rapidly in recent years and has recorded a steady economic growth of about 6% per year and there are possibilities for cooperation with countries in this region, according to the statement.
