Vucic delivers decrees to promoted, newly appointed army officers

First Deputy Prime Minister responsible for defence, security and the fight against corruption and crime and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic presented today, on the occasion of the National Statehood Day, decrees to the promoted and newly appointed officers of the Army of Serbia.

Vucic recalled the importance of Serbian officers in the last two centuries, at the time of creation of the modern Serbian state, its army and organisations.
On the occasion of the National Statehood Day, President Tomislav Nikolic promoted Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Ljubisa Dikovic to the rank of General.
Branko Andric, Miodrag Gordic, Vojin Jondic, Djokica Petrovic, Mladjen Nisevic, Milosav Simovic and Dusan Stojanovic were promoted into general majors.
Stojan Batinic, Dejan Joksimovic, Zarko Lazarevic, Dragosav Lackovic, Zoran Lubura, Ljubomir Nikolic, Marinko Pavlovic, Zoran Popovic, Jelesije Radivojevic and Predrag Simovic were promoted into brigadier generals, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defence.
