Knezevic specified that a smaller amount of milk that was imported from Bosnia-Herzegovina contained no alpha-toxin and that the next delivery of dairy producer “Dukat” from Bosnia-Herzegovina is expected on Thursday.
The delivery will be regularly sampled and tested for mycotoxin, he noted, and said that the locally produced milk is controlled regularly, that is completely safe, and that a month ago an emergency inspection analysis was conducted.
Head of the Department of Agricultural Inspection Nenad Katanic said that canned tuna "Rial", for which it was established in Croatia that it has a high level of histamine, was not imported to Serbia this year.
Katanic stressed that from the manufacturer from Thailand which produces this tuna, only the tuna in brine from the K Plus brand, lot 11 243, was imported to Serbia. It entered the country on 25 January this year and the inspection control showed that it is free of histamine, reads a statement by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
