A statement issued by the Ministry of Defence says that the reception was attended by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, ministers, members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Army, representatives of legislative, executive and judicial powers, diplomatic and military representatives accredited in Serbia and representatives of religious communities and the media.
Speaking on the occasion , Vucic expressed his gratitude for the support given to date to the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Army.
We are all proud of our army, especially of those who work in the most difficult conditions and of those who gave their lives for their fatherland in the most complex military tasks, the First Deputy Prime Minister underlined and added that Serbia will be eternally grateful to them.
He also noted that it is necessary that Serbia has such a brave army, but it should be better equipped.
Dikovic said that in the last year the Serbian government carried out all the tasks set, aimed at boosting the country’s defence capacity and safety of its citizens as well as the country’s reputation in the world, it is added in the statement.
