Head of Directorate for Prevention of Money Laundering receives award by OSCE

The Ministry of Finance and Economy stated that Head of the Directorate for Prevention of Money Laundering Aleksandar Vujicic has received this year’s award by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) “Personality of the Year”.

This award has been given by the OSCE the seventh year in a row.
The award is presented to outstanding citizens who have contributed significantly to the promotion of values advocated by the OSCE - the rule of law, protection of human rights, the fight against organised crime and corruption.
Speaking on this occasion, Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Ambassador Peter Burkhard said that each of the winners gave a significant contribution to the reform process in Serbia. It is important to assign a public recognition to their outstanding commitment and reward them for supporting the values of OSCE member states, as well as for their active support to the work of the OSCE.
This prestigious award is a confirmation of successful work of the Directorate for Prevention of Money Laundering in building and strengthening systems for the prevention and detection of money laundering and terrorist financing, it is added in the statement.
