Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodic participated today in the meeting of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) General Council, which was dedicated to Serbia’s demand to start the procedure for getting membership in WTO.
The WTO General Council decided to set up a working group for negotiations on Serbia’s membership and to start the negotiation process. The WTO has 148 member states.
During his stay in Geneva, Parivodic will meet with WTO officials and representatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
Parivodic is accompanied by Assistant Minister in charge of multilateral economic relations Dusko Lopandic.
