Selakovic to attend EU ministerial forum in Tirana

Minister of Justice and Public Administration Nikola Selakovic travelled today to Tirana, where he will participate in the EU ministerial forum of the Western Balkan countries in the field of justice and home affairs.
A statement from the ministry says that one of the main themes of the first day of the forum, to be held on 5-6 November, will be the visa dialogue, i.e. a mechanism of post-monitoring of visa liberalisation. Given the importance of this issue, the adoption of a joint declaration is planned.
The adoption of a joint declaration on the fight against trade in weapons is also planned, and the last item on the agenda on the first day of the forum will be dedicated to the fight against human trafficking.
As part of the second day of the forum, in which the emphasis will be on the judiciary, Selakovic will speak about Roma integration and respect for their rights. At the end of the forum, judicial aspects of the fight against drug smuggling will be discussed and Ireland and Lithuania, which will hold the EU Presidency in 2013, will present their priorities in the field of judiciary and home affairs.
