The Ministry states that meetings with Congolese Prime Minister Augustin Matata Ponyo, President of the Senate Kengo Wa Dondo and Minister of Foreign Affairs Raymond Tshibanda they discussed the relations between Serbia and Congo and agreed on their further development.
The current experience shows that there are great opportunities for cooperation in agriculture and infrastructure construction in Congo, as well as the export of Serbia’s machine products.
At the Serbian embassy in Kinshasa Mrkic talked with the representative of the Serbian contingent within the UN peace forces in Congo and businesspeople doing business with Serbia.
The Minister held several bilateral meetings with his colleagues from other participating countries – Tunisia, Egypt, South Sudan, Equatorial Guinea, Togo and Mali.
He delivered letters of President Tomislav Nikolic intended for presidents of these states.
At the fringes of the conference Mrkic also met with heads of delegations from Algeria, Laos, the Czech Republic, Macedonia and Croatia, the statement adds.
