Francois-Xavier Deniau and Nikola Selakovic
Selakovic informed the French Ambassador about the Ministry’s short-term and long-term goals in the fight against corruption and the improvement of the justice system in Serbia.
He said that the first steps for realisation of priority goals have already been made and that the formation of a working group for preparation of the Strategy for improvement of the judiciary in next 5 years is planned.
The first steps are creating conditions for re-employment of unelected judges and prosecutors.
Selakovic noted that improvement of cooperation with France is necessary, especially exchange of experiences between special prosecutor’s offices of France and Serbia, since in order to efficiently fight corruption Serbia needs the help of the states that are fighting that problem successfully.
The meeting was also attended by judge and associate at the French embassy to Serbia Alen Gaudino, it is added in the statement issued by the Ministry.
