Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic today talked with Chairman of the Committee on the Affairs of the European Union of Bundestag Gunther Krichbaum about the improvement of bilateral cooperation and partnership at a local level.
The Ministry says in a statement that during the meeting Mrkic underlined that Belgrade appreciates the efforts of Berlin and the province of Baden-Wurttemberg to further improve the relations with Serbia.
Krichbaum, who is leading a delegation of 22 majors from Baden-Wurttemberg, underlined that the main objective of their visit to Serbia is to stimulate a stronger cooperation between the two countries at all levels.
He said that the idea is to particularly encourage cooperation at the local level by making as many partnerships as possible between the cities and regions in Serbia and Germany in various fields of economy, culture and education.
Krichbaum also said that Germany wants to significantly improve tourist exchange so that more German tourists come to visit Serbia.
