Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Zorana Mihajlovic today talked with Director of EU Enlargement for South-eastern Europe and Turkey at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology Helge Tolksdorf about issues related to energy and environmental protection.
The Ministry says in a statement that in order to boost the energy efficiency of Serbia’s heating plants an agreement was reached on cooperation which implies changing the structure of input fuels and transforming heating plants into cogeneration power plants which will deliver both heating and electricity.
The German Ministry of Economics and Technology will provide training for Serbian experts, it was agreed.
On the basis of the agreements reached today, the Ministry of Energy, Development and the Environmental Protectin and the German Ministry of Economics and Technology will operationalise plans in future.
The visit of the delegation of the Ministry is the continuation of cooperation following the visit of First Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Zorana Mihajlovic to Germany.
