Military aircraft fall cuts short Vucic’s visit to Cyprus

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vucic will break off his official visit to Cyprus to urgently return to Serbia because of a fall of a military aircraft in Nova Pazova.
The Ministry says in a statement that Vucic extended his condolences to the family of the deceased pilot, Major Goran Savic, noting that he has ordered an urgent investigation into the accident.
We will put off all scheduled bilateral meetings because the life of each of our men is more important than such talks. I hope that in the future we will be able to prevent similar accidents. A soldier’s life is a difficult one and their job implies a lot of risks, but our task is to minimise such accidents as much as we can, Vucic observed.
