Kalanovic at Eighth Conference of European Cities and Regions in Austria

Minister of Regional Development and Local Self-Government Verica Kalanovic will speak on 24 September at the Eighth Conference of European Cities and Regions, which will be held in Grafenegg, Austria.
The Ministry said that Kalanovic will also have a series of bilateral meetings with officials from various regions in the EU, as well as representatives of European, regional and local authorities.
The event is organised by the Institute of European Regions (IRE), with the support of the EU institutions.
It is expected that the meeting will be attended by more than 250 representatives of local and regional authorities, European and other institutions from more than 20 countries in Europe.
This year's conference is themed "Overcoming Regional Disparities" in health care, financial strategies at the level of municipalities and regions, as well as energy and transport infrastructure.
The conference is an opportunity to exchange views and experiences, and to initiate various forms of cooperation with colleagues from all over Europe, the statement added.
