Maric to attend European Conference of Ministers responsible for Youth in St Petersburg

Minister of Youth and Sport Alisa Maric will take part in the European Conference of Ministers responsible for Youth to be held on 23–25 September in Saint Petersburg.
The Ministry says in a statement that ministers and representatives from youth institutions of the Council of Europe countries gather regularly to determine their guidelines and joint activities in terms of youth policy.
At this year’s conference a strategy themed “Young people’s access to rights: development of innovative youth policies in Europe” will be adopted.
This year’s conference is of huge importance for the creation of European trends in youth policy, and Serbia will continue to play an active and important role in this remit.
This is an opportunity to initiate new lines of cooperation for the improvement of the position of youth.
During the conference Minister Maric and a delegation of the Republic of Serbia will hold several meetings with various European representatives relevant for youth policy.
Assistant Minister of Youth Snezana Klasnja will accompany Minister Maric to the conference, the statement adds.
