Selakovic stated that the Ministry will correct everything that can and needs to be corrected in the field of the judiciary.
The two officials underlined the importance of passing a strategy and action plan of the Ministry of Justice so that negative consequences of the 2009 judiciary reform could be eliminated as effectively as possible in the upcoming period.
Speaking about the existing network of courts, the Minister said that there are many municipalities in Serbia that have a small number of judges in relation to the population size, emphasising the need for those places to get courts instead of court units.
The participants in the meeting highlighted the role of independent judiciary institutions in Serbia, such as the High Judicial Council, State Council of Prosecutors and the Judicial Academy, which are of great importance in the Serbian judiciary, reads a statement by the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration.
