Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic received today on a farewell visit US Ambassador to Serbia Mary Warlick and expressed his recognition over her personal and professional commitment aimed at the development of bilateral relations between Serbia and the United States.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that both sides agreed that in the past there has been a further improvement of relations, especially in terms of political dialogue, as well as the economic, military, and law enforcement cooperation between the two countries.
Mrkic reiterated Serbia’s clear orientation towards the EU and expressed gratitude for the support of Washington, while Warlick pointed out the full US support to Serbia's European path.
The Minister expressed condolences over the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three officials of the US Embassy in Libya.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also wished Warlick success in her further professional career, the statement added.
