Minister of Justice and Public Administration Nikola Selakovic met today with Algerian Ambassador to Serbia Abdelkader Mesdoua to discuss the promotion of bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Serbia in the affairs that fall under the competence of the justice ministries of the two countries.
A statement by the Ministry states that Selakovic informed the Algerian ambassador about the judicial reform in Serbia which was carried out in the past, and with its weaknesses and strong determination to eliminate them.
The Algerian ambassador said that a judicial reform has been implemented in his country too since 2000, noting that the reform processes taking place in Algeria and Serbia could enrich cooperation between the two countries.
Selakovic underlined that an essential prerequisite for economic and social development of a country is the rule of law, and the creation of a society of equal opportunities, the statement by the Ministry adds.
