The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development stated that Obradovic, as the state coordinator for the cooperation between Serbia and the Republic of China as part of this secretariat, presented the Chinese side a list of 50 projects that Serbia has proposed as the basis for various forms of cooperation between the two countries, including the possibility of Chinese investment.
The projects are in the field of transport, energy, telecommunications, infrastructure, education, science and environmental protection.
Obradovic underscored that cooperation within the secretariat is perceived by Serbia as an opportunity to further expand and strengthen its strategic partnership and overall cooperation with China in various remits.
A meeting ensued with Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao on the occasion of the formation of the Secretariat for cooperation between China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Obradovic took the opportunity to convey a proposal by Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic to hold the next meeting of prime ministers of China and the other states in Serbia next year, adds the statement.
