Cooperation of Ministry of Health, WHO at high level

Minister of Health o Slavica Djukic- Dejanovic spoke today with Resident Coordinator of the UN in Serbia William Infante and head of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Belgrade Dorit Nitzan.
During the meeting it was agreed that the cooperation of the Ministry of Health with the WHO and the UN is at a high level, in particular cooperation with the Global Fund projects in tuberculosis control and the fight against HIV/AIDS.
During the meeting it was underlined that the WHO has helped Serbia with the implementation of the project to introduce hospital information systems.
Infante voiced the UN’s readiness to help the Ministry of Health undertake measures against corruption and to raise the level of transparency, as well as to lend a hand when it comes to utilising IPA funds, reads the Ministry’s statement.
